The Park district maintains 622 acres comprised of 35 parks (including the Grove Nature Preserve, a national historical landmark) and school grounds equipped with 55 playgrounds, 36 outdoor tennis courts, 44 softball fields, 32 basketball courts, 13 field houses, 17 soccer fields, 2 sledding hills and a mini-arboretum. The park district also operates an 18 hole golf course, the Glenview Ice Center (with full size and studio rinks), 8 indoor courts, the Rugen Community Center (site of the Senior Center and many recreation programs) and two outdoor swimming pools.

The Public Library is open 72 hours per week it has a collection of 240,000 books plus magazines, compact discs, video and audio tapes, etc.
